The Providence Institute (PI) Summer Program is specifically designed for incoming freshmen that have been admitted as PI Candidates for the fall semester.
The program begins prior to the start of freshman orientation weekend. The purpose of the program is to assist in the transition from high school to college and help students get better acclimated to life as a La Roche student. There is a one-time fee for the Providence Institute Program.
Our main goal is to introduce students to some key academic practices through the integration of class sessions and academic workshops. In addition to the academic component, the Summer Program also incorporates on and off campus activities designed to help students get better acquainted with each other and become a true part of the La Roche Community.
Our hope is that the Summer Program will familiarize incoming students with what to expect during their first semester of college and how to best prepare for the changes this new part of life will require. All components of the Summer Program are mandatory for PI Candidates.
