La Roche Invites High Schoolers to Explore Graphic and Interior Design Programs on Feb. 17

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 16, 2020 — On Monday, Feb. 17 La Roche University will host Meet Design, an all-day event for high school juniors and seniors to explore creative careers in the fields of graphic and interior design.

The event is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at La Roche’s campus in the North Hills. Students who attend Meet Design at La Roche will test their own creative skills by participating in an immersive design experience. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.

Lisa Kamphaus, chair of the La Roche Design Division, said, “Meet Design at La Roche is a unique opportunity for high school seniors and juniors. They have the opportunity to work with our students and faculty, and go behind the scenes for a firsthand look at our studio classes.”

Students will hear from La Roche design alumni and professionals about the challenges and opportunities in the field.

The event includes a continental breakfast and lunch, and a full campus tour option at the end of the alumni presentation.

Parents are welcome to attend the opening design presentations, followed by the option to stay for both an admissions/financial aid session and a study abroad session. An optional afternoon tour of the design studios and labs for parents also is planned.
Register online by Feb. 12. Limited space is available, and one parent or guardian per registered student is welcome to attend. High school juniors and seniors who have not attended Meet Design before are given priority.
