There are many reasons Pittsburgh has been named one of the world's most livable cities, and our students get to experience all of them.
Throughout the academic year, we give you the chance to sightsee, experience and explore. You'll have the opportunity to explore Pittsburgh's exciting nightlife and rich cultural district, or attend professional sporting events at PNC Park or the CONSOL Energy Center.
Other events include a Spring Formal on the Gateway Clipper Cruise, a city sightseeing tour during Freshman Orientation, and visits to museums, galleries and theaters.

With everything from guest speakers and unique workshops, to events like Karaoke & Mocktails, Casino Night, the Spring Carnival and an Acoustic Series, something is always happening on the La Roche campus.
All student clubs and organizations at La Roche sponsor or hold events throughout the year. That means activities are various and diverse, allowing you to choose events that best fit your interests and personality.
Around the Neighborhood
La Roche is minutes away from a hotbed of recreation and nightlife in Pittsburgh's suburban North Hills, and we do our best to help you enjoy it.
Whether you're looking to shop, dine or relax, you'll have the opportunity to visit the surrounding neighborhood's retailers, restaurants and movie theaters.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy Allegheny County's North Park, a nearby attraction with a 75-acre lake and walking trails spread across more than 3,000 acres. Through the Center for Student Development, you'll have the chance to visit North Park's ice skating rink, or go snow tubing at Wildwood Highlands in the winter.
