La Roche University is seeking part-time adjunct positions in the Biology department to teach online prerequisite courses for nursing students. Courses include Anatomy and Physiology I and II with lab, and Microbiology for Health Science and lab. Positions begin Fall 2024 and will continue as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Teaching assignments include lecture and utilization of other educational methods, including online learning platforms.
  • Evaluation of student progress through coursework, papers, exams, and related assignments; providing appropriate feedback.
  • Following established teaching procedures and protocols within the Academic Affairs Division.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Master's in biology required; Ph.D. in biology preferred
  • 1-2 years prior online teaching experience at the college/university level preferred

Applicants must reside and work from one of the following states:  PA, WV, VA, DE, NJ, MD, FL; or DC.  Applicants who reside in OH must work on site at our PA campus.

Candidates must pass background clearances prior to the issuance of a contract. Review of applicants will begin immediately; position open until filled.

These are considered adjunct (part-time) faculty positions. Adjunct faculty are hired for specific teaching assignments and contracts are distributed on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of future contracts. Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States.  LRU will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity.
