Accounting

Accounting, a program in the Business Group, is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), a leading specialized accreditation association for business education. The major in accounting is designed to give students a comprehensive treatment of current accounting principles and practices. The main goals of the program are to prepare students for professional careers in accounting and to aid them in meeting the education requirements for the Pennsylvania CPA and CMA certifications. The program also provides preparation for graduate study in accounting, business or public administration. Accounting courses give students ample opportunity to achieve a degree of proficiency in accounting skills and analytical techniques. To complete the accounting major successfully, the following course work is required:
