Where Do You Call Home?
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Second Floor Hallway, Zappala Campus Center

Where do you call home? Visit the Global Engagement table in the second floor hallway across from the reception desk, and place a sticker on a large map of the place you call home. Everyone who participates will be entered into a drawing for a prize!

Coffee from around the World

Co-Sponsored by the Office of Mission & Ministry

Stop by the World Café in the Wright Library to enjoy free samples of international coffees from around the world. Different blends will be available every Wednesday in the month of November.

THURSDAY, NOV. 7

Becoming an American: Discussion on Immigration
5 – 7 p.m.
Huber Academic Center, Room 306

Participants will watch segments of “We are Witnesses: Becoming an American” (produced by The Marshall Project), before joining a guided discussion on the topic of immigration. This event counts as an LRX Immigration Experience.

Food trucks representing cuisines from around the world will be visiting campus. Featured trucks include Cilantro y Ajo, Pita My Schwarma, and Rolling Meatballs.

Guess that Map!
4 - 6 p.m.
First Floor Hallway, Zappala Campus Center

Test your knowledge of the world while supporting the students of INST2011: World Geography. Try different games, created by current students, for your chance to win fun prizes.

Learn how to say “Hello” and other basic phrases in a variety of languages spoken around the world.

Study Abroad Photo Contest
Sponsored by the Office of Study Abroad

Students are invited to participate in a study abroad photo contest. All submissions and voting will be done electronically. The photo with the most votes will be printed and put on display on the University’s campus.

Submissions will be accepted via email from Nov.1-15. Voting will take place online during the nationally recognized International Education Week, Nov. 18-22. The winner will be announced on Monday, Nov. 25.
