Information Sessions and Recruitment Tables

Interact with our students, and share information about your organization by visiting campus throughout the year. Information tables will be available for you to network with students and invite internship/employment application to meet your hiring needs.

Major-Specific Interview Days

These annual recruiting events allow companies to interview regional college students for internships and professional employment. As a participating university in the Interview Day Consortiums, La Roche offers employers well-prepared and qualified candidates in the following fields:

Employers may partner with these consortia to recruit college students and graduates to meet internship and employment needs. Consortia school partners organize the promotion of the interview days, student registration, preparation and collection of resumes, and scheduling of interviews based on employer selections and venue logistics.

WestPACS Job Fair

As a member of the Western Pennsylvania Career Services Association (WestPACS), La Roche supports two annual collegiate internship and job fairs. The job fair always takes place at a central location, most recently at the Monroeville Convention Center. The top 10 employment sectors represented at WestPACS job fairs include:

Use this resource to connect with more than 1,600 La Roche students and alumni. Registered employers can target appropriate candidates by including specific requirements, such as: education level, majors, certifications and more.

Annual Professional Networking and Etiquette Dinner

Held during the spring semester, the Professional Networking and Etiquette Dinner allows alumni and employers to meet our students face-to-face. Students also practice networking skills and learn professional etiquette at this career development reception and dinner.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

In addition to recruitment resources, La Roche offers experiential learning opportunities for students to work with outside companies and apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations.

Internships

La Roche students are strongly encouraged to supplement their academic program with for-credit internship experiences so that they can apply classroom content and major knowledge to support the business efforts of regional employers.

Immersions

This annual contest is a 60-hour graphic design challenge for juniors and seniors to create concepts, develop solutions and pitch projects to an outside client. Previous clients include: Attack Theatre, Center for Organ Recovery and Education, Global Links, Haiti H20, the Office of Mayor William Peduto, WPSBA and North Hills Community Outreach.

Senior Portfolio Show

Each year during the spring, our graduating graphic and interior design students present their work to the university and outside community. Employers are invited to review our graduates’ portfolios at this annual event. For more information: design@laroche.edu.

Association of Information Technology Professionals: La Roche Student Chapter

This student-run organization connects with employers to offer technology workshops, networking opportunities and gaming events throughout the academic year.

Delta Mu Delta

The International Business Honor Society seeks principal business employers for networking opportunities and chapter events each semester.

Professional Development Series

Each semester our Master of Science in Human Resources Management program offers a widely popular Professional Development Series for business leaders and HR professionals. With eight presentations per year, the series features:

  • Informal networking sessions
  • Credits for PHR, SPHR and GPHR certifications
  • Two-hour presentations held in the evening
