Pathway Program
The Pathway Program at La Roche University allows international undergraduate students who do not have the required English proficiency to complete English academic courses while earning academic credits toward their degrees.
The Pathway Program has two levels: a one-semester pathway and a two-semester pathway. Based upon scores obtained from IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo English tests, students will be placed in the appropriate track.

One-Semester Pathway students can earn 15 academic credits toward their undergraduate degree through the Pathway Program (23 hours of instruction per week).

Two-Semester Pathway students can earn 18-21 academic credits toward their undergraduate degree through the Pathway Program (23-26 hours of instruction per week per semester).

La Roche also offers English as a Second Language courses for undergraduate students who do not have the minimum language proficiency to be in the Pathway Program. ESL students take 20-hours of non-degree credit courses during the week.

If students have not or do not plan on taking the IELTS, TOEFL or Duolingo tests, they will be required to test upon arrival with our ESL department. This test is free and will determine the appropriate track for the student based on their results and evaluation by the ESL department.
SAT and ACT scores are not required but could also be used to determine direct admission.
