Introduction to Cartooning

Learn the basics of cartooning in this two-hour workshop on Friday, Oct. 18, at 6:30 p.m., led by cartoonist George J. Broderick Jr. ’79. The event will take place in the Cantellops Art Gallery in the Zappala Campus Center. Cost is $5 for alumni and $10 for guests. Participants must provide their own materials (PDF).

Unraveling the Lie: Inside the Mind of a Modern-Day Mind Hunter

Hear FBI Supervisory Special Agent Robert Ambrosini speak on what it takes to be a modern-day FBI mind hunter, solving common misconceptions and distinguishing fact from fiction. For over 21 years, Supervisory Special Agent Ambrosini has been a part of the FBI Behavioral Analysis Program and has worked on many cases, ranging from violent crime to foreign counter-intelligence. He will lead this free presentation in the Kearns Spirituality Conference Center on Monday, Nov. 25 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

On Friday, Jan. 24 look behind the scenes at the making of the movie “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood,” featuring Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers. The movie's art director, Greg Weimerskirch ’09, will talk about working with Tom Hanks and the production of the movie. The free presentation, co-sponsored by the La Roche Literary Society.
