La Roche University is seeking candidates for a casual Anesthesia Clinical Skills Lab Facilitator who will support the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) program by providing specialized clinical skills education and hands-on practice guidance to Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs). This casual position combines educational instruction with simulation laboratory support, focusing on developing students' anesthesia-specific clinical competencies through structured skills training and simulation experiences

GENERAL DUTIES:
Educational Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical skills instruction to DNAP students in anesthesia-specific procedures and techniques
- Guide and mentor students during hands-on skills practice sessions
- Demonstrate proper anesthesia equipment operation and clinical procedures
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback on clinical skill development
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure skills training aligns with curriculum objectives and competency requirements
Simulation Laboratory Support:
- Assist simulation center staff with equipment setup, configuration, and tear-down for anesthesia scenarios
- Support the programming and operation of simulation software during clinical scenarios
- Maintain cleanliness of lab spaces and assist with room preparation and cleanup between sessions
- Ensure proper storage and disposal of materials according to safety protocols
Administrative and Collaborative Functions:
- Report to the Director and Clinical Coordinator of the DNAP program
- Coordinate with Simulation Center staff to optimize scheduling and resource utilization
- Provide audiovisual support for simulation recordings and debriefing sessions
- Collaborate with DNAP faculty and staff to enhance lab efficiency while managing student costs
- Maintain professional standards in customer service, communication, and teamwork
FUNCTIONAL AREAS MANAGED:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current CRNA certification and active nursing license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with students, faculty, and support staff
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical anesthesia experience preferred
- Experience in clinical education or simulation preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and support staff
