La Roche University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position in the Graduate Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) Program, beginning in August 2025. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality graduate education, clinical facilitation, research, and service aligned with the University's mission and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach graduate-level courses in the CMHC program, both in-person and online.
- Advise and mentor graduate students in academic and professional development.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and conference presentations.
- Supervise clinical experiences, including practicum and internship placements.
- Participate in program development, assessment, and accreditation-related activities.
- Contribute to university service, including committee work and community engagement.
- Maintain an active professional identity in the counseling field through licensure, organizational memberships, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program (ABD candidates considered with degree completion by August 2025).
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
- Evidence of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
- Eligibility for professional licensure in Pennsylvania (LPC preferred).
- Experience with online and hybrid teaching modalities preferred.
- Strong commitment to ethical practice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and counseling practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in clinical supervision and/or leadership in counseling practice.
- Research expertise in areas relevant to clinical mental health counseling.
- Engagement with professional counseling organizations (e.g., ACA, AMHCA, NBCC).
- School Counseling experience (not required).
