Pasta 101: One Big Pasta Party

Learn the art of making dough by hand with just two ingredients: flour and eggs. We’ll cover digital measurement, mixing, hydration, rolling and cutting. Ingredients, pasta machines, pasta boards and all the tools you’ll need are included. Afterward, we’ll boil the pasta, and enjoy it together with homemade pasta sauce, fresh herbs and aged Parmigiana Reggiano cheese. Mangia!

There is an additional cost for this program. It is $70 per ALL member. If space permits, guests can sign up beginning Aug. 25 for $85. Register online.

Instructor
Huck Beard is an obsessive sfoglino (pasta maker) who definitely knows the difference between tortellini and tortelloni. He teaches pasta classes in his home kitchen and at private parties and fundraisers. He is also longtime Creative Director at Pittsburgh Magazine, a novelist, a photographer and a professional musician. He and his husband, John, live in the North Hills with their Portuguese Water Dog, Humphrey.
