Annie Malady received an MA in English from Boston College and an MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh. While at Boston College, Annie helped develop a pilot Writing Center with targeted tutoring support for ESL undergraduate students. Annie has worked at the University of Pittsburgh's Hillman Library and designed instructional modules for academic integrity that emphasized student-driven learning and included international student perspectives around knowledge acquisition, plagiarism, and citations. While earning an BA at Loyola University Maryland in English/Writing, Annie presented research on Writing Center programming for students from refugee and migrant backgrounds. Annie has worked as a Part-Time Professional Writing Tutor for ESL undergraduate and graduate students at the La Roche Writers’ Center since 2024. Currently, Annie is also an adjunct in the La Roche English Department and teaches undergraduate literature and composition courses in Point Park University’s Department of Literature, Culture, and Society.
