La Roche to Host Car Show Benefiting Animal Friends

PITTSBURGH, July 18, 2019 – La Roche University will sponsor a car show and adoption day on Sunday, Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event, Pgh Pit Stop, will take place in the commuter parking lot at La Roche’s campus in McCandless Township. The show will feature food, local businesses, a dog agility course featured by Steel City Canine, a 50/50 raffle, raffle baskets and more. All proceeds will benefit Animal Friends.

“I partnered with Animal Friends to make this an event to celebrate pit bulls, showcase the adoptable dogs and to bring more knowledge to the community,” Alexis Carrion, a La Roche student and the event organizer, said. “I rescued a pit bull a little over a year ago. Having her has changed my life and has given me so much knowledge about how pit bulls are treated.”

Car owners and spectators can either donate $5 or new treats, toys or supplies to attend the event.

Businesses that are interested in sponsorship opportunities may contact pghpitstop@gmail.com.

Animal Friends is a premier companion animal resource community committed to promoting the animal-human bond and nurturing relationships with companion animals which are guided by compassion.
