Business Honor Society at La Roche University Earns STAR Status

Pittsburgh, Sept. 27, 2019—The Eta Psi chapter of Delta Mu Delta at La Roche University earned STAR status from the International Honor Society in Business for the fourth time since 2015.

STAR Chapters meet and exceed standards set by the society for managing these chapters and their activities. Of the 300 chapters eligible each year, only a small percentage qualify for this recognition.

Primary Adviser and Management Department Chair Michaela A. Noakes said, “Delta Mu Delta membership is a result of La Roche’s accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). For the fourth time, we have achieved the prestigious recognition as a STAR status chapter.”

Membership in Delta Mu Delta is the highest honor a business student can earn. Upperclassman with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are invited to join. The organization promotes higher scholarship in developing business acumen and recognizes scholastic attainment in the business discipline. Student members are eligible for over $75,000 in scholarships each year to continue or extend their education, and to help enhance their network with prominent business employers. Delta Mu Delta also gives students the ability to connect with alumni, and establish valuable connections during and after their education.

La Roche has a range of programs within its management division, offering double majors to its students at no additional tuition requirement. Undergraduate offerings include accounting, finance, international management, information systems technology, international studies, management information systems, leadership, applied sciences and marketing.

The University’s programs in management, finance, international management, accounting, marketing and management information systems are accredited through the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, a leading specialized accreditation association for business education.
