La Roche University Earns 2022-23 Military Friendly® School Designation
PITTSBURGH, March 9, 2022 – La Roche University announced today that it has earned the 2022-23 Military Friendly® School designation.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2022-23 survey, with 665 earning special awards for going above the standard.
Executive Director for Enrollment Hope Schiffgens said, “The Military Friendly designation reflects La Roche’s proud history of welcoming all military students, veterans and their dependents to begin or complete their education on our campus. La Roche is committed to providing a supportive environment where all military and veteran students can achieve their educational goals.”
The 2022-23 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the May and October issues of G.I. Jobs magazine at militaryfriendly.com.
Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
Military Friendly® National Director of Military Partnerships Kayla Lopez said. “Our standards provide a benchmark that promotes positive outcomes and support services that better the educational landscape and provide opportunity for the Military Community. Schools that achieve awards designation show true commitment in their efforts, going over and above that standard.”
La Roche offers credit for military experience and an on-campus Veterans Organization for members to connect through shared experiences, provide mentorship and encourage camaraderie in an inclusive and supportive environment. Students also can learn how to best leverage their unique military skills and experiences through the Office of Career Development.
