PITTSBURGH, April 15, 2025 – Two new leaders, Lisa Bryan and Sister Linda Gaupin, CDP, have been appointed to La Roche University’s Board of Trustees.
Ms. Bryan is an ANCC Board Certified Advanced Nursing Executive with over 16 years of leadership experience. Currently she serves as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at UPMC Passavant, overseeing a wide range of services, including inpatient nursing, critical care, emergency services and rehabilitation, among others. Ms. Bryan is responsible for setting nursing practice standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and managing a multi-million-dollar budget. Ms. Bryan was one of the founding nurse leaders at UPMC East when it opened in 2012.
Previously, as Director of Nursing, she achieved Nursing Executive Advanced Certification and led several key initiatives, including the redesign of the Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician and Advanced Patient Care Technician role. Ms. Bryan also played an executive role in committees such as VTE Prevention and the Health Care Equality Index. She has held positions as Clinical Director and Director of Nursing Education at UPMC East and as Unit Director at Magee Women's Hospital.
Sister Linda Gaupin, CDP, has had a distinguished career in religious education and liturgy. She has served in key roles, including Chair of the religion department at Divine Providence Academy, Chairperson of the Religion Department La Roche University, Diocesan Director of worship for the Diocese of Wilmington, Associate Director of Liturgy for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Diocesan Director of Faith Formation for the
Diocese of Orlando. Currently, she is retired and volunteering at St. Margaret Mary Parish, Lower Burrell, PA.
Sister Linda has presented workshops across 30 states and has written for more than 23 publications. She is a past member of several professional organizations, including the National Conference of Catechetical Leadership and the Catholic Theological Society of America
