La Roche University Ranks First in Pittsburgh for Social Mobility by U.S. News & World Report

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 23, 2025 – La Roche University ranks first in Pittsburgh and 19th overall for social mobility among regional universities in the North, according to the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings.
In addition to earning the top spot locally for social mobility, La Roche was also recognized among the Best Regional Universities in the North, reflecting its overall academic quality and student outcomes.
The social mobility ranking evaluates how well colleges and universities graduate students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly Pell Grant recipients. La Roche’s leading performance demonstrates its commitment to providing affordable, student-centered education and the resources necessary for long-term success.

The 2026 U.S. News methodology places greater emphasis on student outcomes, including graduation rates, graduate earnings, and debt. The rankings evaluate nearly 1,500 institutions on up to 17 indicators of academic quality, social mobility, and value.
Published annually, the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings are a widely respected resource for prospective students and families researching undergraduate programs across the country.
