U.S. News and World Report Names La Roche College a Best Regional College

USNEWS14PITTSBURGH, Sept. 9, 2014 – La Roche University has been named a Best Regional College by U.S. News & World Report in its 2015 edition of the Best Colleges guidebook.

La Roche ranks 33rd on the list of Best Regional Colleges in the north. Schools listed as Best Regional Colleges focus almost entirely on the undergraduate experience and offer a wide range of liberal arts programs and the fields of business, nursing and education.

Vice President for Academic Affairs and Academic Dean Howard Ishiyama, Ph.D., said, “Our ranking as a Best Regional College demonstrates the high caliber of La Roche faculty, the rigor of our academic programs and the success of our students and alumni. As a premier liberal arts institution, we are committed to offering a high quality education to prepare students for lifelong learning and career success.”

The 2015 Best Regional Colleges list includes 364 colleges and features institutional data for categories such as peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, class sizes, student-faculty ratio, student selectivity, acceptance rates and alumni giving. La Roche offers accredited programs in the high-demand fields of business, education and health and medical sciences, along with creative disciplines in interior design, graphic design, dance, and film and media.
