U.S. News & World Report Ranks La Roche College Among Nation’s Best

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 9, 2015 – According to U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 Best Colleges Guidebook, La Roche University is a Best Regional College and a Best College for Veterans.

La Roche ranks 34th on the list of Best Regional Colleges in the north. Schools listed as Best Regional Colleges focus almost entirely on the undergraduate experience and offer a wide range of liberal arts programs and the fields of business, nursing and education. This year the list of Best Regional Colleges includes 363 colleges and features institutional data for categories such as peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, class sizes, student-faculty ratio, student selectivity, acceptance rates and alumni giving.

U.S. News & World Report also named La Roche as one of the Best Colleges for Veterans. These top-ranked schools help to make a college education affordable by offering benefits to military veterans and active-duty service members. Qualifying private schools had to be certified for the G.I. Bill and participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

“We at La Roche University are proud to be named a Best Regional College and a Best College for Veterans. As a private college offering a range of high-demand and creative majors, La Roche strives to create a pathway for all students to excel academically and to achieve success in their chosen careers. Our U.S. News & World Report rankings demonstrate our commitment to providing a high-quality liberal arts education,” Vice President for Academic Affairs and Academic Dean Howard Ishiyama, Ph.D., said.

U.S. News & World Report is the third renowned college rankings organization to recognize La Roche University in the past two months. In July La Roche was named a Catholic College of Distinction and a Pennsylvania College of Distinction, and The Princeton Review recently listed the institution as a Best Northeastern College for the 10th consecutive year.
