Our Lady of Grace Parish Pastor to Speak at La Roche Literary Society Event

PITTSBURGH, March 10, 2017 – Rev. Richard Infante, pastor of Our Lady of Grace Parish in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, will visit La Roche University on Friday, March 31 to discuss his novel, “The Last Priest Standing and Other Stories.”

Presented by the La Roche Literary Society, Father Richard’s presentation will begin at 7 p.m. in the Ryan Room of the Zappala College Center at La Roche’s campus in the North Hills. His accounts, as described by Mike Aquiline in the book’s foreword, are “…something more than realist. They’re real. And so they hit a reader not the way words usually do, but rather the way life does.”

Father Richard holds four master’s degrees, including a Master of Fine Arts in fiction writing from the University of Pittsburgh. His work has appeared in journals such as “Dappled Things,” “The Catholic Faith” and “Pennsylvania Illustrated.”

The presentation is free and open to the public. Prior to Father Richard’s discussion, La Roche will hold an induction ceremony for new members of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society.

The La Roche Literary Society was established in the early 1980s to provide a forum for scholarship and discussion on literature and other issues. For more information, contact Sister Rita Yeasted, SFCC, Ph.D., at 412-536-1216 or rita.yeasted@laroche.edu.
