La Roche College to Host Discover Days on Oct. 14 and Nov. 11

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 21, 2017 – This fall La Roche University will host major-specific Discover Days for high school students and their families to meet faculty, tour campus and explore academic programs.

Each Discover Day will begin in the Zappala College Center with an 8:30 a.m. check-in, followed by the program at 9 a.m. Visitors will tour campus and enjoy a free lunch in the dining hall. A continental breakfast is included.

Students will have the opportunity to explore their majors of interest, interact with faculty and meet students within La Roche’s academic divisions on the following Discover Days:

Saturday, Oct. 14 – Natural & Behavioral Sciences, and Education and Nursing

Featured majors: Biochemistry; Biology; Chemistry; Child and Family Studies; Computer Science; Criminal Justice; Education; Engineering; Exercise and Sport Science; Health Science; LECOM: Pre-Dental, Pre-Osteopathic Medicine and Pre-Pharmacy; Mathematics and Physics; National Security Studies; Nursing; Psychology and Radiologic Technology.

This event will feature, among other presentations, a computer forensic examination, a crime-scene technology demonstration and a K-9 police dog demonstration with the Justice, Law and Security Department.

Saturday, Nov. 11 – Design, Humanities and Management
