La Roche Men’s Basketball Wins Third AMCC Championship

Members of the La Roche men's basketball team hold their championship trophy after defeating Penn State Behrend 77-74.PITTSBURGH, Feb. 26, 2018 – The La Roche University Men’s Basketball Team won its third conference championship this past weekend after defeating arch-rival Penn State Behrend 77-74. The Redhawks earned the AMCC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. They will play Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore on Friday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m.

“Winning the conference championship is a great moment for this program. We’ve continued to grow and improve all season long,” Head Coach Herman Carmichael said. “The NCAA tournament will be a major challenge...it’s the best of the best remaining. We want our players to enjoy the experience and embrace the challenge.”
