Meet Dania Ngabire, a senior majoring in health sciences. Ms. Ngabire is originally from Burundi.

Why did you choose LRU for health sciences?

As someone who dreams of working in the health sector one day, I chose LRU because of the quality of education and resources available, such as state-of-the-art facilities and experienced faculty, which can provide me with a solid foundation for a career in health care.

How did you know LRU was the school for you?

LRU offers programs and courses that align with my career goals and interests, and most importantly, I felt a sense of belonging and connection to the University community when I started. I have access to valuable resources and opportunities that help me succeed in my academic and professional pursuits.

What is your dream job, and how is LRU preparing you for it?

My dream job is to become a dentist. LRU’s curriculum and coursework are designed to provide me with a strong foundation in my field of study and to prepare me for the challenges and opportunities I may face in my future job.

How have extracurricular activities enhanced your college experience?

Extracurricular activities provided me opportunities to develop skills, build relationships, and explore interests outside of the classroom. These activities also help me to feel a sense of belonging and connection to the LRU community, and they provide valuable experiences that I can apply to future endeavors in my career or personal life.
