Hobbies/Interests/Job outside of La Roche:
I love to golf in my free time. I also volunteered for Big Brother Big Sisters of Pittsburgh from 2019-2023.
What inspired you to choose La Roche, and what has your experience been like so far?
As someone from a small high school, I liked that class sizes at La Roche are smaller. I also liked how personable our faculty and staff are, and how easy it is to get involved on campus. I have had many opportunities to become involved on campus and take up leadership roles.
What drew you to your field of study?
I became interested in accounting during the pandemic. I saw the way that the economy was impacted and wanted to learn more about the way that businesses run.
I took an accounting class and became even more interested in the financial side of businesses, as well as the importance of accounting in running an ethical organization.
What have you learned about yourself or the world during your time at La Roche?
I have learned—through both classes and experiences—how interconnected the world is. From an economic perspective, a change in the American economy can have significant impacts across the global economy. We are also increasingly connected through social media, giving us the chance to more easily learn news from around the world.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to continue my professional education with a master’s degree program and CPA licensure as I begin my career. I plan to contribute positively to my communities—both here at La Roche and at home.
