About Pittsburgh PA

About Our City

A college community should be more than just a collection of classroom buildings and residence halls. It is part of a much larger community. Despite La Roche’s suburban location, the campus is just minutes north of Pittsburgh, Pa. Home to a growing high-tech corridor and healthcare industry, Pittsburgh is the host city for a number of multinational corporations.

Its rich cultural district includes the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Civic Light Opera, Carnegie Music Hall and Museum and Heinz Hall for the Performing Arts. Consider a visit to Mount Washington, a city neighborhood that sits atop a hill overlooking downtown. It’s a breathtaking view!

If you are a professional sports fan, the Pittsburgh Pirates make their home at PNC Park, and the Pittsburgh Steelers play at Heinz Field. Pittsburgh also has a professional hockey team, the Penguins. Why not consider making a weekend of it and catching a game or a match?
