Freshman Requirements & Application

Complete an Application

We have three options available for your convenience:

    2) Official Secondary/High School Transcripts

    3) SAT or ACT Test Scores - Optional*

Students opting for test-optional* admissions must still meet admissions requirements. A letter of reference from a student’s school counselor or from one of the student’s high school teachers is needed if their GPA is equal to or less than 2.30.

If you wish to submit SAT or ACT scores, official exam scores can be sent electronically using SAT Code 2379 or ACT Code 3607 or a copy of official score results can be faxed to 412-847-1820, emailed to or mailed to: La Roche University Freshman Admissions, 9000 Babcock Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

*Test-Optional Exceptions: The following majors/programs/special populations do require a test score: LECOM pre-professional programs, such as Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Dental, Pre-Osteopathic Medicine and Pre-Podiatric Medicine; National Security Studies; Honors Institute applicants; home-schooled applicants; students with a GED; international students (IELTS/TOEFL); pre-engineering students (recommended for higher math placement). Honors Institution: GPA and SAT/ACT are required and at current levels for admittance.

    4) Letter of Recommendation is optional unless the student is opting for test-optional. If test-optional the student will need to provide a letter of reference from their school counselor or from one of their high school teachers if their GPA is equal to or less than 2.30.

    5) Optional Essay - In 250 words or less, please share why earning a college degree specifically from La Roche University is important to you and why you believe a La Roche education will help you to achieve your life goals.
