Whether you’re new to the field of nursing or you're a seasoned professional, La Roche University offers convenient programs for you to move ahead in your career.
At La Roche University we prepare you to work as a professional nurse in a variety of settings, including hospitals, home health, education and public health.
Accredited by the Accreditation Commission of Education in Nursing Inc., La Roche offers award-winning faculty, hands-on learning experiences and programs at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Associate of Science in Nursing
The Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program provides a pathway for you to become a registered nurse. The curriculum combines theory and practical knowledge to prepare you for work in hospitals, clinics and community health care sites.
Offered on campus, the ASN program can be completed within five semesters. The program prepares you to complete the National Council Licensing Exam after graduation so that you have the advantage of working as a registered nurse while completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
Once you’ve earned your diploma or associate degree and work as a registered nurse, you may want to continue your education. Investing in an advanced degree is an advantage for both you and your employer. Experience, coupled with education, enriches your nursing practice and increases your career opportunities.
We offer convenient online programs for you to achieve your professional goals:
In as little as three full-time semesters, you can complete the required courses for a BSN.
By waiving six nursing elective credit hours, you can earn both degrees (BSN and MSN) in only seven semesters.
If you meet the minimum GPA and SAT requirements for admission to the ASN program, you automatically qualify for the highest merit scholarship at La Roche* – which is approximately a 50 percent discount on regular tuition. The cost of nursing textbooks also is included with the cost of tuition for ASN students.
*Once you enroll as a full-time student at La Roche, you must continue to meet the minimum GPA requirements in order to continue receiving the merit scholarship each year.
La Roche’s Corporate Discount Program offers significant savings and affordable billing options for you to gain valuable skills and earn your degree at a discount tuition cost. For example, registered nurses at UPMC Passavant, located across from campus, receive the following benefits:
- $390 per credit for RN-BSN programs

- A waived $50 application fee

In addition to La Roche’s merit-based scholarships, we offer annual and endowed scholarships, thanks to our generous donors.
